Lake Ray Hubbard summer time hot weather report !!
Temps got really hot this week , we went from schooling white bass the week before to suspended deep water fishing . The full moon played some havoc on the morning bite , although I heard the afternoon was really good if you could stand the 105 degree temps .. I had a really tough early morning one day , but picked up late morning . If the traffic wouldn't have got so bad we could have done better that day . Early in the morning was marking fish suspended in the 10-17 ft range in open water moving really fast .. We used 1/2 jig heads and 3 in Co Co Moes from www.moestackleshop.com , as the morning moved on they would suspend about 6 ft from the bottom and a toss and long lift caught fish . I started doing some trolling that was really effective as well .. School is fixing to start and I have some days open in August so get the kids out !!! We have been starting at 6:00 am and trying to be back at the dock by 10:30-11:30 am before you burn up ..
