Had the privilege to fish with Matt today. He called and asked if I wanted to fish a couple of hours with him…. We fish from around 12:00pm till 2:30pm.This is one of the most unusual trips I have ever had. We venture over to the power plant discharge to see if there are any hybrids in there. They had one smoke stack running so we thought the water would be warmer. Well, we kept getting hits on our swim baits. I finally hooked into it…. it was huge, man 10lb hybrid? No, no a giant Buffalo….. The fight was on 20lbs!!!!!! A couple of cast later …. WHAM… another hit……10lb hybrid? No, no another giant Buffalo 17lbs…… I had hooked into 3 and got them in the boat….Matt finally hooked up 10lb hybrid? ANOTHER HUGE BUFFALO!!!!!! We continued the slaughter , we caught 14 Buffalo all on SWIM BAITS…. Out of the 14 , 9 were hooked in the mouth and lost at least 15 at the boat…Never did go look for whites/hybrids… we only fished a couple of hours but caught close to 300lbs of fish… weird.
