Fished first time guest Joel and his son . A little more windy today then the last couple. Fished from 2:30pm till 7:30pm. We left the marina , turned the corner and birds were working Joel and his son brought their own rods ( small spinning gear with 6lb) their own lures and very knowledgeable fishing skills…. With the birds working right off the bat I have to say one of the easiest trips I have done in a while Joel has fished the lake since a kid …. When the birds stopped we went looking and found more fished , sometimes stacked and also scattered, some on humps also. Ended the evening were we started Lots of birds but we tried to stay out of the boats and birds later. People running and gunning for birds and we sat in our little spot and caught fish. Once again no cleaning fish but they could have easily kept their limit plus a whole bunch more. It was a pleasure to have you both on the boat. All fish caught on SSS slabs from MOE’s , Hopkins spoons , CO-HO’s and small sassy shad in 18-31 ft water. Winds were 12-15mph S-SE and water temps were 58-60 degrees. No big hybrids today, but 1 might have went and then some smaller ones.
