Had repeat guest Kevin and son Riley. Kevin is a long time guest that I have had. It was a pleasure once again. We started at 2:30 pm and fished till 6:30pm. Started out on the North side of the lake to locate some fish but did not find any. When we came back under the bridge birds were working. We stopped and managed a couple of fish until the rodeo of boats just steadily messed things up! :bang: I am not trying to start a gripe session but common courtesy has flew out the window when it comes to birds and fish. But we left to look for fish and get out of the mess. We checked a couple of spots with a couple caught. I went on the west side and located fish right on bottom and the first 6 fish were nice keepers, then the juvenile fish moved in. we played with those for a little bit and the winds picked up. I took out the binoculars and noticed the boat show gone at the bridge… lets try this one more time. we went back and birds started working and it was on, we threw big swim baits and caught huge whites, hooked one big hybrid but it got off. Not as many boats but just 1 idiots in the bunch this time. When the birds would leave so would the boats and we stayed there and caught fish . Birds would start working again, we would EASE over to them catch a couple then the boats would roar in, birds would leave, boats would leave and we stayed and caught fish.We caught a lot of fish and they kept their limit :D All fish caught on Shanghai swim baits and SSS slabs from Moe’s in 18-28 ft water. Winds were 10-16mph S and water temp was 63 degrees.
