Lake Ray Hubbard Fishing Report ( Fall)

Lake Ray Hubbard did its usual thing this fall. The fish showed up shallow before Thanksgiving and we caught big white bass and nice hybrids throwing swim baits shallow. The winter patter is starting where will locate huge schools in deep water and methodically and slowing work our lures to catch fish . I have also upgraded my boat . I purchased a brand new 2017 Bulls-Bay 2200 for your comfort. It is updated with a Humminbird Helix 12 Mega fish finder , 36 volt Minn-Kota trolling motor, Bluetooth stereo and USB chargers.  The winter fishing can be really good if you can deal with the cold.

Lake Ray Hubbard Fishing Report / Spring

It’s April and the fishing is picking up nicely !!! the last couple weeks have been tough but the fish are shallow and are hungry !! Please be careful as we are catching boat loads of 17.5 in hybrids.. know your fish please.. I am catching 80% of my fish in 2 ft of water throwing 4 inch Co-Co Hos on a ½ once jig head.. color doesn’t matter much .. the windier the better !! They are also ganging up on points in 17-24 ft water .. don’t be afraid to look shallow throughout the day .. the bigger hybrids will be there also.. as one of my guest 13 year old Kyle caught a 10lb .. they are full of eggs and FAT FAT FAT !!! Spring Break 2015

Despite the freezing weather we have had the last month , believe it or not but spring break is right around the corner . The lake has risen 2.5 ft just this month and that is a good thing . Winter fishing was awesome when it warmed up , then stunk when we had the freezing temps. We did not have a Shad kill this winter as we had more nice weather than bad . The fish already have eggs in them and are big white bass . The hybrids have been elusive this winter but that should change . For spring break my price is $250.00 for 1 adult and 2 children under 16 yrs of age , this spring break so the kids won't drive you crazy and you get a break :) $250.00 for 1 adult and 3 children under 16 yrs of age . I believe to get children involved in the outdoors and get them out of the house . I would like to thank all of you for choosing my guide service in the past and the support . Many that have fished with me will tell you I am very good with children , over the years I have children that use to fish with me with their parent that now fish with me with there children .. Man I am getting old

Lake Ray Hubbard Spring Report

 Fishing as remained good on Lake Ray Hubbard the past couple of weeks. The cold front we had ealier in the week spread them out a little but with the warming temps should pick back up. I have been catching most of my fish shallow and throwing Co Co Moes paddle swim bait with a ½ oz Rocket Surgeon jig head . The fish are alos starting to show up on humps and levees in the 20-28 ft range . I have been using mostley the SSS slab and you can get these lures at www.moestackleshop.com . The hybrid bite has been good to fair on most days. The water temps have ranged from 68-72 . The shallow water bite remains the best for me at this time even in the middle of the day. Have also witnessed a couple of times fish blowing shad out of the water . I have some open dates so give me a call if interested. I have over 20yrs experience fishing Lake Ray Hubbard and over 10 years guiding.  I can say I have been pretty lucky on my trips, most all have been catch and release or they just wanted to keep a few ..so no kill dock pics for this report.
